Last week Marta and Moreno went to the other side of world to attend the 32nd ICCB congress in Brisbane Australia. A total of six contributions were presented at the congress, involving current and past lab members.

Marta Cimatti presented a talk on "Synergies and trade-off between maintaining climate niche variability and preserving climate stability" (part of a symposium on Climate-smart considerations in conservation planning), and a poster on "Climate-proofing the Trans-European Nature Network" based on her recently published paper. Moreno Di Marco presented a talk on “Connecting conservation and zoonotic disease research through macroecology" (part of a symposium on Biodiversity and Health), and a poster on "Two forms, two functions: functional specialisation in parasitoid flies and their larvae".

The conference gave us a fantastic chance to stay connected with the wider scientific community, engage with colleagues, exchange ideas and spark new collaborations—and even make some new friends. See you at the next conference!
