By bringing together a comprehensive team of interdisciplinary scientists and NGOs from 15 EU states, the project aims to support the European Member States in realising an ecological network of conservation areas across Europe that contributes to the objectives of the EU Biodiversity Strategy 2030.

The primary aim of the NaturaConnect project is to design and develop a blueprint for a truly coherent Trans-European Nature Network (TEN-N) with the aim to enable protection of at least 30% of the land, with at least one third under strict protection. NaturaConnect will produce, share and mobilise different types of knowledge using best available data and models, while ensuring consistency with policy agendas and stakeholder visions across scales.

The Biodiversity & Global Change lab is responsible for the definition of climate resilience plan for the TEN-N as part of the NaturaConnect project.
