Last week, the BGC research lab participated in the 7th European Congress of Conservation Biology (ECCB 2024) held in Bologna, Italy. Post-docs, PhD students, collaborators and MSc students presented a total of 20 contributions, which covered a wide range of research topics including One Health and zoonotic disease risk, mountain biodiversity and human activities, species extinction risk, trans-European nature networks, Nature’s Contributions to People, and ecological integrity.
Joining over 1,000 researchers from more than 50 countries, we reconnected with old friends, forged new collaborations, and engaged in the exciting scientific exchange. After an intense week of presentations, we had the chance to socialize and bond with our MBC research group colleagues, immersing ourselves in the lively world of traditional Bolognese dances.
See you at the next conference. Stay tuned!
